WallTrace — Privacy Policy

Who we are

WallTrace is a mixed-reality mural tracing tool published by Honour-Media LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. You can reach us at support@walltrace.app. This policy explains what happens to information when you use WallTrace, whether from the Meta Horizon Store or from walltrace.app.

The short version: we do not collect data beyond what is needed to provide the app, and everything you create stays on your headset.

What data stays on your device

WallTrace has no user accounts and no backend server of our own. The following is stored locally on your device and never sent to us:

• Your images — reference artwork you load into the app is stored in your browser's IndexedDB on the device.
• Your settings — opacity, scale, alignment, language, onboarding state and similar preferences are stored in localStorage on the device.

We cannot see any of it. Uninstalling the app or clearing its site data removes it permanently; we hold no copy to restore.

What we don't do

• No analytics or telemetry SDKs.
• No advertising and no ad identifiers.
• No third-party trackers, pixels, or cross-site profiling.
• No selling or sharing of personal information — there is nothing on our side to sell.

Hosting & server logs

The app is a set of static files delivered through Cloudflare. As with any website, our hosting provider may process standard server request information — such as IP address, user agent and requested file — to deliver the files and protect the service from abuse. We do not use these logs to build profiles of users, and we do not combine them with anything you do inside the app.

Purchases (WallTrace Pro)

WallTrace is free to install. WallTrace Pro is an optional one-time unlock sold through Meta's Horizon Billing / Digital Goods API.

• We never see or handle your payment details. Meta processes the transaction.
• To know whether Pro is unlocked, the app asks Meta's platform API for your entitlement for this product and caches the answer on the device.
• Because this uses a Meta platform service, the information exchanged with Meta for purchases and entitlements is handled under Meta's own privacy policy and terms, not ours.

Permissions (camera and passthrough)

WallTrace uses your headset's WebXR passthrough so you can see your real wall while tracing. The passthrough view is composited by the headset itself. The app does not record, store, or transmit camera frames, and no image of your room ever leaves the device. WallTrace does not request microphone, contacts, or location access.

Children

WallTrace is a general-audience tool for artists and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, write to us and we will look into it.

Your choices and rights

Since your content lives on your device, you are in direct control of it: deleting an image in the app, clearing the app's site data, or uninstalling WallTrace erases it. For anything related to purchases or entitlements, Meta's account tools and privacy controls apply. If you have a question or want to exercise a privacy right, email support@walltrace.app and we will respond.

Changes to this policy

If we change how WallTrace handles information, we will update this page and move the effective date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's store listing update notes.
